Lucy in Val di Non

First Episode

This cartoon is an idea of Lucina Cuccio, director and author of screenplay, soundtrack and special effects.
Lucy, the protagonist of this story, is a beautiful ten years old girl that lives in Cles, in the Non Valley, in the early 20th Century.

Her father is a pastry chef and her mother is a very good tailor. They live in a picturesque house near the wood.

Lucy is characterized by her curiosity and spirit of adventure, combined with a fervent imagination.
She prefers open spaces and doesn't like studying. Rather, she looks forward to reading fables and fairy tales that she also lives in reality.
Gluttonous and sometimes impertinent, Lucy is used to staying in contact with nature. She loves animals, woods and the mountains of her territory: the Val di Non. This valley is a treasure full of gentle slopes covered by colourful flowers, green fields of emeralds, sparkling lakes and luxuriant pine woods where, in the thick bushes, more then thousand funny creatures give life to a fabulous world.
Sweet apple trees are the background of mysterious castles, which contain old legends, like diamonds enclosed in the magical mountains where Lucy lives her adventures.

Second Episode

Lucy is in her bedroom and is going to sleep. Mum Céline wishes her goodnight and leaves the room.
Before falling asleep, a white rabbit comes out from behind the bed: Lucy had already met him during one of her hikes in the woods, going to San Romedio, when she got lost.

Third Episode

Lucy is in a wood with Umberto. The white rabbit shows her several magical powers: he can be invisible - Umberto can decide which person is able to see him, he can change in aspect and dimensions, and, above all, he can control nature around him. For instance, he is able to make plants grow and flowers blossom.
Another power is to transform all metals in gold, silver… In the end, they walk to Lucy's house and, as a spell, all the world around them becomes a cartoon.
